Jessica Maloney is a designer, lens-based artist, and educator based in Charlotte, NC. She graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York City with a Master of Fine Arts in Photography, Video & Related Media in 2013. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA in Studio Art and Graphic Design.
Her work has appeared in group shows in New York City at the School of Visual Arts Gallery and the South Street Seaport Museum, as well as in Pennsylvania at Lehigh University and Cedar Crest College. Her 30-minute documentary film entitled Bethlehem, U.S.A. and a related series of portraits were first screened and exhibited in New York City in 2013. Her black and white portrait series Faces appeared at the Banana Factory in 2010.
She is interested in storytelling, history, people, and places.
